Abstract
The aim of this study is to delineate the structural settings of the west wadi Elryan area also to determine a new mesozoic play and study the oil potentiality in the area. An integrated study between 2D seismic interpretation and potential data (bouguer gravity and total magnetic intensity maps). The interpretation of the seismic reflection data over the study area where five different sequence boundaries are picked then the two way time and depth maps were constructed to determine the prospects in the study area. Qualitative interpretation of the potential data to relate the different anomalies to their possible geologic causes. 2- D modeling along four selected profiles were designed to evaluate the possible exact locations of the faults and basement surface. Finally a depth map for the basement was contoured from these models and the possible basins were detected
