Abstract

In order to discover the identity theft, the use of a personal ID in reliable systems based on computer is necessary. Human iris is a unique identifier for each person. Iris is considered as one of the most accurate biometric measurements. Iris recognition is a method of identifying people based on their iris. Most existing works in the eye biometric have focused on iris recognition, with little work addressing the iris verification and computational complexity. Iris verification system is a method of verifying person identity based on their iris. Iris verification system is divided to two phases: 1) the enrollment phase .2) the testing phase. In the enrollment phase: the authorized person registers to the system database. Templates are stored to each authorized person in the system database. In the second phase which is the testing, any authorized/unauthorized person needs to access the system must enter his/her iris image and the person identity, then iris segmentation and eyelash detection is the first step. Then Iris normalization is the second step. Then feature vector extraction is the third step
