Abstract
My deepest thanks and appreciation to my mentors and professors, who guided me through the whole journey. They gave me the drive to continue when all I wanted was to stop, and the education and guidance needed throughout. To Prof. Ahmed Mamdouh Shaaban [Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Alexandria University], Prof. Riham El-Dibany [Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Alexandria University], and Prof. Marwa El-Kassaby [Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Ain Shams University], thank you is not enough.
Gratitude is due to Dr. Ramy Gaber [Lecturer of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Ain Shams University], who was a cornerstone in the operating theater with Prof. Marwa El-Kassaby [Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Ain Shams University]. They taught me my baby steps of cleft and orthognathic surgery, and helped me in every step of the way.
I would also like to thank Ass. Prof. Noha Ibrahim [Ass. Professor of Orthodontics, Ain Shams University], who was responsible for the orthodontic preparation for all the patients before and after the operation.
