Introduction and Research Problem:
The tactical side aspect of tennis is considered one of the most important aspects of
its high ability to show the physical - skill - psychological aspects, and the group of ground
strikes is considered one of the most important skill groups for tennis strokes followed by
the group of strikes, as it is considered the second most important skill group for tennis
strokes, and serve strokes are considered One of the important strikes and an influential
part in the game of tennis, and it is currently one of the offensive means in the game of
tennis, after it was previously seen as a way to start playing. Therefore, having world class
players possessing a high level of serve strokes and the ability to properly direct serve, is
of the utmost importance in the game of tennis.
The aim of this research is to study ” The effectiveness of serve’s tactical side in the
most common situations for world-classified tennis players ”
the researcher used the descriptive method using the survey. The study was
conducted using two pilot studies:
1. This study aims to embody the research problem represented in the serve’s tactical
side among Egyptian players.
2. Identifying the schematic characteristics of serve’s to determine the most common
situations for serve’s .
3. Define properties of the serve’s tactical
4. Determination of effectiveness levels of the serve’s tactical
5. Division of the tennis court stating the division of the playing areas used during the
analysis process.

6. Arranging the variables associated with the planned position (the serve’s and return
of serve) as well as the variables associated with the planned behavior .
7. Design a data collection form.
8. Try the form and make sure it is usable.
9. Training the researcher to observe using this form and record the study data.
10. Training the researcher to use the Kinovea program during observation to arrive at
the most accurate results.
The sample:-
(15) matches were studied with a number of (2784) serve from (19) tennis players
ranked among the best (50) players in the world in the main and final rounds in the
Australian 2018 & 2017 Open (Australian Open 2018, and 2017) tournaments. Garros
2018 & 2017 (French Open 2017, 2018) and 2018 Open 2017 US Open tennis tournament
2017 & 2018.
Statistical treatments:
SPSS and cross-tabulation were used to calculate the percentage and frequency of

determine the degree of effectiveness by the following equation

the net and studied its effectiveness in the most common situations as follows:
1. The type of serve used
2. Focus time
3. Flying time of serve’s throws
4. Time of flying ball sent
5. The place where the sent ball falls
