Social work is one of the social professions that emerged in response to a number of pressing factors. Social service institutes and colleges adopt the preparation of social workers in theory and in the field in a manner that qualifies them to gain experience, knowledge and skill so that they can exercise their professional roles in the fields of social work, including the field of special groups, but the success of the social worker In performing his professional role of helping children to benefit from the educational process and helping the school to achieve its function.It is considered the emergence of social service in the United States of America, where a set of social, economic and industrial variables in the construction of the American society caused the creation of a set of needs, which, as a result of not being satisfied, developed into problems.Hence, the role of social service in addressing these problems begins. As a result of the success of this profession in performing its role in American society, it began to move to other parts of the world, and even began to invade most sectors in societies such as the medical field, the family field, the educational field, special groups and others.The role of the social worker is different from the role of the teacher, as his role has no beginning or end. He is not bound by the official school schedule, but rather his work is in addressing social, psychological and other issues and problems for children inside and outside the school and following them continuously throughout the school year and the next year, and so on.the study Problem:The role of the social worker is considered important and essential in improving the social interaction skills of autistic children, and guiding the families of these children. The main role of the social worker in schools of intellectual education is to achieve several things:1- The first: achieving children’s compatibility with the reality of life and the environment.2- Second: Develop programs that will develop the child socially and behaviorally.3- Conducting a professional interview with the disabled and his parents in order to identify the problem.Conducting several interviews with the parents to learn about the developmental history of the condition.5- The social worker informs the parents of the son’s circumstances while clarifying their responsibilities in the care program.Second: The importance of the study:1) Theoretical significance:The importance of this study comes from the importance of the role of the social worker with autistic children, and it also contributes even in a small part to spreading knowledge of this type of studies that contribute to clarifying and clarifying the role of the social worker in improving the social interaction skills of autistic children and guiding their families by explaining what should be done. The social worker should do it with their children, as well as explain the problems they face.2) Practical importance:The practical importance of this study comes through trying to identify the importance of the role of the social worker in improving the social interaction skills of autistic children and guiding their families, and also in an attempt to make recommendations in light of the results that show how the social worker plays his role towards autistic children in a practical way and through Clarify the shortcomings that the family needs to be aware of.Third: Objectives of the study:1- Recognizing the role of the social worker with autistic children.2- Identify the causes of autism.3- Identifying the obstacles facing the social worker towards autistic children.Fourth: Study questions:The current study seeks to answer several questions, including:1- What is the role of the social worker with autistic children?2- What are the causes of autism?3- What are the obstacles facing the social worker towards autistic children?Fifth: Methodology and tools of the study:1) Type of study:Within the framework of the main objective of the study, which is to know the role of the social worker in improving the social interaction skills of children of orientation and guiding their families, we see that it falls under the type of studies (descriptive-analytical), which aims to describe and analyze what is reached by monitoring these roles.2) Study Methodology:The method is the way in which the researcher goes to study the phenomenon under study, and the researcher tries to reveal the scientific truth by using mental rules until we reach a known result.In order to reach the objectives and obtain results, there must be a way to reach these results, and this method is called the curriculum, but there is no curriculum that suits the nature of the objectives of the study, as it can address the subject of the study in terms of careful and comprehensive observation and monitoring, and helps to explain the subject of the study and covers the questions of the subject of the study Therefore, the social trowel approach was chosen.3) Study tools:- Questionnaire form and interview guide for social workers.4) Fields of Study:Geographical field: The researcher identified glands from schools of intellectual education in Dakahlia as a geographical field.The human field: the researcher chose a group of social workers in schools of intellectual education.Time range: the time that the researcher will take to complete the current study.Sixth: Concepts of the study:1. Social worker. 2. Social interaction.3. The child. 4. Autism.5. Family.Previous studies:By previous studies, we mean every study that preceded the current research and is related to it, whether in terms of the research topic, its frame of reference, or its methodology, to benefit from it methodologically and theoretically and to determine the field of our present work, because it is the lamp that lights the researcher the way to reach useful studies, where the researcher uses these Studies to start from where the others ended, and they are considered as the cornerstone of any study at the beginning, so identifying previous studies and referring to them involved more than one benefit for researchers, for example, developing the idea of the study, defining the study problem, setting the study’s objectives and hypotheses, and using methodological procedures followed by previous studies, in addition to discussing the results that were reached in the light of previous studies.Since the current study revolves around “the role of the social worker in improving the social interaction skills of autistic children and guiding their families, the researcher presents some studies related to the subject of his research to determine the importance of these studies, analyze them and benefit from them.”Results:The results of the field study indicated the gender, in the first rank, males with a rate of 67.2%, and in the second rank, females, at a rate of 32.8%.The results of the field study indicated age, in the first rank 25-35 at a rate of 29.3%, in the second rank 35-45 at a rate of 24.1%, in the third rank less than 25, at a rate of 19.0%, and in the fourth rank does not like to change in his clothes, types of food, or the way his room is organized by a percentage 57.5%, in the fifth rank 45-55 with a rate of 17.2%, and in the sixth rank 55 and over, at a rate of 10.3%.The results of the field study indicated that residency is in the first rank urban with a rate of 62.1% and in the second rank rural with a rate of 37.9%.The results of the field study indicated the educational status, in the first rank, a diploma of special education with a percentage of 39.7%, in the second rank, a special education with a percentage of 34.5%, and in the third rank a university qualification with a percentage of 13.8%, and in the fourth rank a post-university qualification with a rate of 12.1%.The results of the field study indicated the social situation. In the first rank, he is single with a percentage of 48.3%, in the second rank is married with a rate of 20.7%, in the third rank is divorced by 17.2%, and in the fourth rank is a widow with a rate of 13.8%.
