Abstract
Acne is a common dermatological disorder causing a great cosmetic disfigurement because acne scars can have different appearance and depth . There are various treatments of them based on the type and severity of tissue damage remain after the healing of first lesion. Subcision is one of the proposed treatments that has be reported to be beneficial approach especially in post acne deep rolling scars to break the fibrous band. Blunt cannula is on the horizontal plane from one point of entry for massive amount of textural shallow scars Using subcision with blunt cannula 18-, 21- or 25-gauge metal spiral needle cannula. Subcision is a simple and safe office surgry procedure for treatment of depressed acne scars subcision is called subcutaneous incisionless surgery by using needle or cannula to break the fibrotic strands which tether the scar to the underlying. It performed under local anaesthesia. Platelet rich plasma is derived by spinning down a patient s own blood. Their beneficial potential rests on the ability to deliver high concentration of growth factor to target tissue Treatment of acne scars is a therapeutic challenge that may require multiple modalities subcision with a blunt cannula is a procedure that has been reported as a beneficial method in the treatment of rolling acne scars. Although subcision is a valuable method, its efficacy is mild to moderate because of high recurrence rate due to some side effects include post procedure side effects. combination of subcision with PRP injection by using blunt cannula and using micro brassion may improve the result.
So, the study was aiming to evaluate the result of using subcision with blunt cannula in combination with injection of platelet rich plasma and micro needling in treatment of post acne rolling scars.
To elucidate our aim, this pilot clinical trial was conducted on 50 patients suffered from mild to severe rolling acne scars on their face. With exclude patient under treatment of acne for 4-6 weeks. Using of blunt cannula, no 25 gauge in subcision followed by platelet rich plasma injection by the cannula in the same session followed by micro needling. For selected age from 18 years to 40 years in Menoufia University, during the period from September 2019 up to January 2021.
