المستخلص Many questions arose about the relationship of Egyptian colloquial language with classical Arabic, and to what extent colloquial language is affected by classical Arabic. Also, is Egyptian colloquial language really the result of classical Arabic with a change in some diacritics, or a distortion of some words and meanings? Therefore, the study came as an attempt to highlight the similarities and differences between them through a specific sentence pattern, which is the conditional sentence, taken from the Encyclopedia of Egyptian Folk Proverbs and Common Expressions as its material, and an attempt to reveal - during that - the culture of the Egyptian people transmitted by the conditional sentence, its customs, and traditions, values, and their way of thinking about life in general. |
