Abstract
Regarding the use of the combined cutting and non-cutting dilation protocol for benign strictures, it appears to have a higher patency rate whether assisted or unassisted than the using the conventional balloon alone with no additional risk. Yet a further randomized multicenter prospective trial on a larger sample of patients is warranted to prove its efficacy.
