Abstract
A subset of pediatric Hodgkin’s lymphoma relapsed after treatment. Outcome of these cases is generally poor. We generated a list of the top up-regulated genes in HL. We studied one of these genes (Thioredoxin,TXN). We found that TXN is overexpressed in HL cells. After TXN knock-down, we found a significant reduction in HL cells proliferation. Treatment of HL cells with a drug targeting TXN (PX-12) reduced tumor proliferation. There was a statistical significance between TXN expression in pediatric HL, tumor stage, and disease free survival. Lastly; we tried to apply the Laser Capture Microdissection (LCM) methodology from FFPE tissue for whole genome amplification
