Abstract
The present work is intended to shade more light on investigating good candidates of anti-skin cancer drugs. Four medicinal plants were collected, and identified; they are: Aloe barbadensis Miller, Eugenia caryophyllata Thumb, Piper nigrum Linn, and Thymus vulgaris L. In this study, the naturally occurring compounds, namely; Aloins, Eugenol, Piperine, and Thymol respectively were extracted from Aloe vera, Eugenia caryophyllata Thumb, Piper nigrum, and Thymus vulgaris L. by using Steam distillation method. The extracted compounds were then implemented in a number of different heterocyclization reactions. Structure elucidation and characterization of these pure compounds were carried out using different spectral analyses. The cytotoxicity of each obtained compound was tested against tumor and normal cell lines in order to investigate good candidates of anti-cancer drugs
