Abstract
problem in orthopedic surgery despite the fact that concepts and techniques for fracture treatment are continuously improved. Autogenous cancellous bone graft is considered the golden standard for the enhancement of bone healing. Despite the frequent use of the autogenous bone grafting, there are reports of complications from this procedure. These complications resulting from the graft harvesting have inspired the development of alternative strategies for the repair of bone nonunions and defects. PRP injection is a new method used as an osteogenic factor, it is effective for treating both delayed union and nonunion.
