Abstract
Background: Burn is an injury cause destruction of skin and underling tissue. Post burn complications are severe. Contractures of upper extremity have a major effect than in lower extremity. Involvement of shoulder, elbow and hand has large impact on daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and toileting etc. Active video gaming is an emerging technology with the potential to overcome many of the current barriers to physical activity in children and adult . purpose: This study was conducted to determine the effect of virtual reality on upper functions post burns . Results: There were significant deferences between both groups as follow, There was a significant increase in the median values of ROM post treatment of study group compared with control group (p = 0.0001) and There was a significant increase in the mean values of UEFI post treatment of study group compared with control group (p = 0.0001). Conclusion: it was concluded that virtual reality program using Xbox has significant effect on upper limb functions post burn.
