Abstract

The aim of this research work is assigned to improve the magnetic properties of nanometric magnetite (Fe3O4) by different transition metal ions as Mn2+, Ni2+, and Co2+ substitution magnetite. The goal of this work is to enhance the magnetic properties of Fe3O4 nanomagnetite doping different transition metal ions, effect of gamma radiation on the structure and magnetic behavior of these nanomagnetites, moreover, study the magnetic properties for magnetite with Zinc oxide as nanocomposite to throw light on the critical ion of substitute in order to obtain more applicable samples in our daily life. Co precipitation method and modified Sonochemical method are considered to prepare ultrafine pure magnetite, doped with different transition cations and nanocomposites with Zinc oxide respectively. Complete study of the structure, particle size, particle morphology, thermal stability and magnetic properties are carried out for all investigated samples using XRD, TEM, FESEM, TGA, magnetic susceptibility measurement and hysteresis loops. from these results, the co precipitation method is effective one in producing small crystallite sized samples. Also the substitution of transition metals (Ni, Mn, Co) into the magnetite improve the crystallite size, morphology and magnetic properties of the investigated samples
