Abstract

This study shown that there is good agreement between the Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and TTE evaluation of aortic valve stenosis .the measurement (in obese patients) or if the orientation of the heart and valve make accurate ultrasound imaging impossible. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging has evolved from an effective research tool into a clinically proven, save and comprehensive imaging modality. It provides anatomic and functional information in acquired and congenital heart disease. In addition, in some cases of severe stenosis, the pressure gradient measured by Doppler ultrasound overestimates the actual pressure gradient. Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) can be used as a useful alternative noninvasive clinical imaging modality for evaluation of aortic valve stenosis
