Abstract
A comparative study was made concerning to the diagnostic performance between crude antigens(HCFA, HCWA and HPRA) and their isolated fractions which obtained by affinity chromatography(HCFF, HPRF and HCWF) in Serodiagnosis of Echinococcosis using sera from naturally infected camels with hydatidosis, experimentally infected dogs with Echinococcosis and random sera obtained from intermediate host ( camels, buffalo and sheep). The best diagnostic performance was obtained with HCWF which gave diagnostic sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic efficacy (93.3%, 93.3% and 93, 3%) respectively, Positive predictive value (96.55%) & negative predictive value (87.5%), it also has the highest diagnostic potency above all the isolated fractions and crud antigens in detection of lowest antibody titer in tested sera of naturally infected camels with hydatidosis. Also the other two purified fractions (HCFF and HPRF) give higher diagnostic performance than their corresponding crude antigens (HCFA and HPRA), reveling diagnostic sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic efficacy (86%, 73.3% and 82, 2%) & (90%, 86.6% and 88.8%) respectively
