Abstract

Quality became the most important aspect in the relationship between the customer and services and products provider. Here arises the global need for international standard to unify minimum requirements for acceptable quality level of products and services.
The objective of ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is to promote the development of Standardization in order to facilitate international trade.
Accreditation reduces the barriers to international trade as a formal recognition that an organization is competent to carry out specific tasks.
For testing and calibration laboratory the global quality standard “ISO/IEC 17025” must be applied to offer a reliable and reproducible data; if these laboratories want their services to be accepted internationally.
Pesticide residues refers to pesticides that remain on or in food after they are applied to food crops. Contaminated food is the problem focused worldwide because of its impact on human health and international trade.
In this study we discuss the implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements related to the method development, method validation and ensuring validity of results by statistical quality control.
A standard QuEChERS method that was first introduced 2003 was selected and modified, then performance characteristics were determined and evaluated after performing replicate analysis on gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometer.
