Abstract Background: Once teeth are extracted, the alveolar bone resorption along with the labial bone plate reduction occurs as a consequence of the absence of blood flow. This is all brought on by the periodontal ligaments loss. The socket-shield method was generated to stop these consequences. The current research’s purpose is the assessment of alterations in the labial plate’s horizontal and vertical dimensions following the use of the socket-shield technique (SST) and immediate implant implantation (IIP) with immediate loading radio-graphically by CBCT-scan. Methods: Randomly chosen individuals were put into one of two groups in the current study as a randomized-controlled clinical trial. In the study group, a total of ten dental implants were positioned in the maxillary esthetic zone by means of the socket-shield method with immediate loading, while in the control group; 10 implants were placed right-away with immediate loading. For both groups, CBCT-scans were pre-operatively evaluated and 6 months after surgery for evaluating the dimensional changes within the labial bone plates. At the implant placement’s time and 6 months after surgery, attachment loss, pink esthetic scores, and implant stability quotients (ISQs) were all measured. Results: The gathered information was analyzed by means of SPSS software version 22.0. Keywords: Immediate implants, Extraction socket, immediate loading, socket shield Technique. |
