Abstract The incidence of diabetes is over 9% worldwide, and it continues to increase. Diabetic kidney disease, a major complication of diabetes, occurs in approximately 30%–40% of patients with diabetes. Also, it is a leading cause of end-stage renal disease and has become an important public health problem worldwide in recent years. It has been reported that early diagnosis and protective treatment may prevent the development of diabetic kidney disease and improve the prognosis of patients with diabetic kidney disease. |
