Abstract This work was conducted for studying the different dermatological lesions in dogs ”clinical signs, hematology and biochemical status” in diseased dogs compared with the apparently healthy ones. A total of 105 dogs of different age ranged from 6 months to 3 years weighing (7- 25 kg) were included. Both sex and different breeds ”mainly German Shepherd” were randomly selected for dermatological examination. The dogs had different dermatological problems It was concluded that: (1) Skin is the mirror of the internal body and any abnormality affect skin which reflect general health condition of the pet. (2) Skin is liable for many affections “bacterial, viral, parasitic, mechanical ect ….” (3) Nutrition of the pet affects its skin and coat. (4) Deficiency of single elements seldom occurs but, usually more than one elements deficiency occurs. |
