Abstract In recent years, there are many public health hazards originate from antimicrobial resistance that cause emerging pathogens found in food from animal origin; so, this problem should be controlled to obtain good health. In this study one hundred and ten samples (25 raw buffalo milk, 25 kareish cheese, 25 plain yoghurt and 35 small scale ice cream) were collected randomly from markets, dairy shops and supermarkets from different localities in Dakahlia Governorate from October 2019 to Mars 2020.Results revealed that E.coli was present in examined raw milk samples, ice cream , Kareish cheese and yoghurt with 72.00%, 25.71% , 40.00% and 44.00% with mean 1.48x108 cfu/ml , 0.21x108cfu/gm , 0.26 x108 cfu/gm and 8x106 cfu/gm respectively; while, salmonella was present with 36.00%,4.00% and 24.00% in examined raw milk samples, Kareish cheese samples and yoghurt samples respectively but it was absent in examined ice cream samples . |
