Abstract Milk and dairy products harbor several pathogens that have public health hazards. The main sources of milk contamination may be due to contamination of surrounding environment or excretion from udder of the infected animals. The outbreaks of diseases attributed to consumption of raw milk or dairy products manufactured from unpasteurized milk. This study included 150 samples (raw market milk, UHT, Kariesh cheese, Damietta cheese, and small scale ice cream, 30 each). All samples were collected randomly from markets, shops, and homes in Mansoura city, Dakahlia, Egypt. In this study E. coli and S. aureus were isolated followed by biochemical reaction, molecular identification, antimicrobial sensitivity test, and controlling their growth by some natural additives such as using D-Trp for controlling the growth of E. coli O26 and olive and black seed oils for controlling the growth of MRSA. |
