المستخلص

This study aimed to investigate how Jordanian women use the morning programs presented on local Jordanian television stations represented by (the official Jordanian TV, and the private Roya satellite channel), the motives for this use and the gratifications achieved from it, and the effects of this exposure on their social values, and the reflection of the way Programs treat social issues and values on them.
The study relied on the theory of uses and effects in order to reach an answer to its main question, in addition to relying also on the survey method, with its two parts, the field and the analytical, on an intentional sample of 400 Jordanian women in the three regions of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan distributed according to the density of women in them, in addition to analyzing Content of a sample of the episodes of four morning programs distributed equally with two programs for each channel and a total of 52 episodes for a three-month program cycle using the comprehensive inventory method for the weekly programs and the industrial week for the daily programs.
The study reached a number of results, including:
(1) The superiority of social topics as one of the highest content of the main topics that dealt with social values in the morning programs of the local Jordanian television stations, and we note the superiority of the official Jordanian TV over the private Roya satellite channel by 52.2% compared to (28%).
(2) The superiority of social values topics as one of the highest content of “social” sub-topics in the morning programs of the local Jordanian television stations. We note the superiority of the official Jordanian television over the private Roya satellite channel by 31.1% compared to 22.8%.
(3) The values of (Power - security) came in the first order as one of the highest content of basic (social) values, which were dealt with in the social paragraphs in the morning programs on the local Jordanian TV stations by 11.2%, and this is followed in the second order by Benevolence with a rate of 11.1%. Achievement ranked third with a rate of (10.8%).
(4) The value of (raising awareness and realization) ranked first as one of the highest content of the (social) sub-values that were addressed in the social paragraphs in the morning programs on the local Jordanian TV stations at a rate of (4.8%), followed by the positive second place with a rate of (4.6%), And the values (sense of social responsibility - stability of the individual and the family ”self”) ranked third with a rate of (4.4%).
(5) The degree of Jordanian women’s acquisition of content and social values from the morning programs on the Jordanian satellite channels came in the following order: Yes’ed Sabahak program came in the first order with a percentage weight of (75.8), followed by the Yawm Jadeed program with a percentage weight of (72.3), followed by the Donia Ya Donia program with weight Percentile weight (67.5), and finally, Helwa Ya Donia program, with percentage weight (64.9).
(6) The resulting cognitive effects came after the Jordanian women watched the morning programs on the Jordanian satellite channels among the sample members in the foreground with an average of (2.56), followed in the second order by the behavioral effects with an average of (2.53), while the emotional effects came in the third order with an average of (2.52), and we find that the general average The cognitive, affective and behavioral effects amounted to (2.54), which is a high effect.
(7) There is a positive, statistically significant correlation between the degree of Jordanian women’s exposure to the contents of the morning programs presented on local Jordanian television stations (official and private) and the degree of acquiring social values from them.
