Abstract
Recently, there is great trend toward the use of highly starchy feed to increase the weight gain and improve the animal performance. This leads to disturbance of ruminal environment and microbial population, exposing the animal to some digestive troubles highlighting in this context the occurrence of ruminal acidosis which considered an important and common clinical emergency in ruminants and if not manipulated properly may resulting in heavy economic losses due to high morbidity and mortality
