Abstract

Third generation partnership project (3GPP) introduces the LTE-A network as the emerging internet protocol packet based mobile communication technology toward the fourth generation broadband mobile wireless network. LTE-A technology improves the system capacity, coverage and provides high performance in terms of high data rates, low latency, {uFB02}exible bandwidth operation and seamless integration with other exiting wireless communication systems. Moreover, LTE-A supports many base station types, such as pico/femeto base stations and relay nodes. Furthermore, LTE-A technology enhances network{u2019}s quality of service, such as increasing bandwidth up to 100 MHz, enhancing performance using multiple input, multiple output and coordinate scheduling, supporting heterogeneous networks and providing suf{uFB01}cient services for the cell edge
