Abstract Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is an important predictive marker in invasive duct carcinoma (IDC), for selecting anti-HER2 therapy candidates. Forty six IDC cases were tested for HER2 amplification by chromogenic in situ hybridization (CISH) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on a tissue microarray (TMA). A non cost manual method using pencil tips was used to construct two TMA blocks, where each case was represented by three cores. Comparing CISH and IHC results, it was found that there was 100% concordance between both tests in cases of IHC scores (+3,+1,0), and lesser concordance values in IHC equivocal +2 cases |
