Abstract The procedure to be performed was randomly determined by closed opaque envelopes. The two groups had the same indications for surgery.In group (II) consisted of twenty patients seventeen were male and three were female. All patients had unilateral procedure.The mean age of patients of this group at time of procedure was 34.7(+/- 6.4) years (range 20-55 years).The mode of trauma was classified as axial loading (15 patients), twisting injury (five patients). The Fracture type according to AO/OTA classification was type (A) (five paient) , type B (five patients), type C (ten patients). While in group (I) consisted of twenty patients. Thirteen cases were males and seven cases were female. The mean age of patients at time of operation was 33.8 (+/- 9.48) years (range 19-55 years). The mode of trauma was classified as axial loading (fifteen patients), twisting injury (five patients).
