Abstract
The present study was carried out in Marine Hatchery of the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF), Kayet Bey, Alexandria Egypt, in co-operation with the Marine Fish Laboratory (MFL), Department of animal and fish production, Faculty of Agriculture (Saba-Basha), Alexandria University.
Part one of the experiment was about reproduction data survey as The E. Sea bass broodstock obtained from the natural sources, Mediterranean Sea during the spawning period December to the middle of February of each year is renewed every three years.
Broodstock are housed in 2 cubic meters tanks at a density of 2.5 kg per meter. They are fed at 5% feeding rate of their body weight daily using a balanced diet, containing 45% protein from marine feed, fresh squid and fresh sardines at a ratio of 1: 1: 1. The diet contents are mixed well in a meat grinder mixer then it is stored in the refrigerator until it used to feed the brood stocks. Fish were fed at two meals daily 8:00 am in the morning and 2:00 pm in the afternoon.
