Abstract

• Upon radiographic assessment customized titanium plate was found to be an effective, reliable and accurate method for plan transfer in orthognathic surgery.
• Virtual surgical planning confers high precision, reproducibility and offers clinically accepted results when used in orthognathic surgery.
• Computer aided orthognathic surgery (CAOS) improved the workflow, and minimized the technical difficulties with the classic approach.
