Abstract

Phacoemulsification operation is one of best modern operation Most modern cataract surgery is performed under local anaesthesia (LA) with the advantage of reduced morbidity and mortality, reduced hospital stays, and increased patient satisfaction compared to general anaesthesia(GA).Phacoemulsification surgery is performed in a limited space, thus anatomical and surgical factors, as adequate ACD, are important for preserving the endothelial cells from the mechanical and thermal damage that can occur during the operation.
