Abstract
Background and objective: The proportion of individuals who survive after treatment for squamous cell carcinoma is unknown. This is why researchers are continually looking for new anti-cancer drugs that are either natural or natural product derivatives. Pomegranate and its compounds have been demonstrated in studies to have anti-tumorigenic properties. The focus of this thesis was to see if pomegranate has any anticarcinogenic properties in oral squamous cell cancer.
