Abstract

This study was conducted on 20 patients. Most of them were females and the mean age of incidence was 44.3 years .Cigarette smoking, hypertension, and DM were the main associated risk factors. SAH was graded clinically by H&H grading system and radiologically using Fisher grading system. CT/CTA was the preferred investigation. Considering size of the aneurysms; 2 aneurysms were baby, 12 aneurysms were small and 6 aneurysms were large, and no giant aneurysms . Considering size of the neck of the aneurysm; 15 aneurysms were narrow necked and 5 aneurysms were wide necked. Endovascular packing (EP) was done in all patients. Raymond classification was used to determine angiographic outcome and Glasgow outcome scale was used to determine clinical outcome. The immediate angiographic outcome was affected by size of aneurysm and size of the neck. (Raymond class 1) was obtained in 70% of aneurysms, while (Raymond class 2)obtained in 20% of aneurysms and (Raymond class 3) obtained in 5% of aneurysms. Complications occurred in 4 cases (20%), which include ,vasospasm ,groin hematoma, femoral artery dissection. Clinical outcome; 85% had good recovery (GOS 5), 10%had low degrees of morbidity with no mortality.
