Abstract
Urinary tract infections are a common problem among women and its risk factor can be prevented.Aim & objectives: The aim •of this study was to improve health status of women at the reproductive age and to decrease the morbidity of urinary tract infection. This was accomplished through the following Objectives: To estimate prevalence of urinary tract infection among women at the reproductive age and to detect some determinants of urinary tract infection in women at the reproductive age. Subjects & methods: A cross sectional study was carried out on 220 women in the reproductive age 15-49 year-old at Awlad Saif village, Belbies city, Sharkia governorate. Cluster sampling technique was used. Each included woman was interviewed after taking her informed consent to fill a structured questionnaire, to be generally examined (wt, ht, BMI, blood pressure), investigated (random blood sugar, & urine analysis).
