Abstract Different methods for the determination of certain drugs in laboratory mixtures and in pharmaceutical dosage forms have been applied in this thesis. These drugs are ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, tinidazole, metronidazole, pantoprazole sodium, domperidone, paracetamol, diclofenac sodium, and etodolac. chromatographic part includes the use of HPLC for simultaneous determination of pantoprazole sodium and domperidone in laboratory mixture and dosage form, simultaneous determination of paracetamol, diclofenac sodium, and etodolac in laboratory mixture and in two different dosage forms, and simultaneous determination of ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, tinidazole, and metronidazole in laboratory mixture and in four different dosage forms. Spectroscopic part includes the use of PCR, PLS, and ANN chemometric techniques for the simultaneous determination of pantoprazole sodium and domperidone, the simultaneous determination of ciprofloxacin and tinidzole, and simultaneous determination of ofloxacin, tinidazole, and metronidazole; also the use of PCR, and PLS chemometric techniques for the simultaneous determination of paracetamol and etodolac in presence of the impurity of paracetamol (p-aminophenol) and for the simultaneous determination of pantoprazole sodium, domperidone and diclofenac sodium. Statistical comparison between the results obtained by the proposed methods and reference methods were carried out |
