Abstract This thesis is concerned with the development of simple and accurate methods for the analysis of some anti-inflammatory drugs include NSAIDs (aceclofenac, diclofenac sodium, ibuprofen, mefenamic acid and meloxicam) and fluticasone propionate as a glucocorticoid drug. The studied drugs were analyzed in their pure forms and in their pharmaceutical formulations or in human plasma. Three HPLC methods using ultraviolet detection for the simultaneous determination of ibuprofen, paracetamol and chlorzoxazone in mixture containing 4-aminophenol and 2-amino-4-chlorophenol, degradation products and/or related substances of paracetamol and chlorzoxazone, respectively, simultaneous determination of fluticasone propionate, fusidic acid, methyl paraben and propyl paraben and simultaneous determination of aceclofenac, ibuprofen, paracetamol and chlorzoxazone in laboratory prepared mixtures and dosage forms were carried out. UPLC-MS/MS method for the simultaneous determination of meloxicam and paracetamol in human plasma using piroxicam as internal standard was carried out. Application of chemometric methods for the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of ibuprofen, paracetamol and chlorzoxazone in mixture containing 4-aminophenol and 2-amino-4-chlorophenol, simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of aceclofenac, paracetamol and chlorzoxazone in ternary mixture, simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of diclofenac sodium, paracetamol and chlorzoxazone in ternary mixture and simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of ibuprofen or mefenamic acid and paracetamol in the presence of 4-aminophenol |
