Abstract

The implementation of integrated management system (IMS) for a better quality management has become a preference for many organizations. This can be seen as many organizations used the combination of quality ISO 9001, an environment ISO 14001 and occupational health and safety management system OHSAS 18001 as a core for the IMS. Besides, the link between quality management and risk management system need to be identified. Therefore, the risk management system ISO 31000 also presented as a part of integration. In nowadays competitive environment, the increasing pressure and needs from customer or stakeholders make it compulsory for the organization to propose a new system. This paper presents and discusses the benefits of integration, management system components that can be converged and the implementation approach. And developing new tools that help transforming the integrated management system to smart and proactive, in some case predicting coming events .An automated solution was designed for the management system integration in a way enabling the organization to work proactively rather than actively. As a conclusion, the paper proposes the integration of 12 management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, GOTS, C-TPAT, WRAP, BSCI, FLA, FAIRTRADE, FLA, OEKO-TEX and EOS) and on how the IMS can be used to structure the process for quality management towards sustainability practices in the organization and to increase the effectiveness of the current isolated management systems. Audit cycle time decrease was also an issue. Integrating ISO: 9001, ISO: 14001, OHSAS: 18001, C-TPAT, GOTS, FAIRTRADE, OEKO-TEX FLA is the target integration required to build a robust Integrated Management system that enables the organization to be in a position attracting new customers and have a global ranking among competitors
