Abstract
Part I: General introduction and literature review: This part includes: Introduction about amide functional group and discussion about the chemical structures, properties, pharmacological actions of the selected drugs in this thesis. Literature review on different methods of analysis for the studied drugs. Part II: Determination of oxetacaine in presence of its degradation products: This part includes four sections: Section A: Forced degradation study of oxetacaine. Section B: TLC-densitometric method for the determination of oxetacaine in presence of its hydrolytic and oxidative degradation products. Section C: High performance liquid chromatographic method (HPLC) for the determination of oxetacaine in presence of its hydrolytic and oxidative degradation products. Section D: first derivative of ratio spectra and ratio difference spectrophotometric methods for the determination of oxetacaine in presence of its hydrolytic and oxidative degradation products. Part III: chromatographic methods for determination of E-crotamiton in presence of its Z-isomer. This part includes two sections: Section A: High performance liquid chromatographic method (HPLC) for the determination of E-crotamiton in presence of its Z-isomer. Section B: Gas chromatographic method (GC) for the determination of E-crotamiton in presence of its Z-isomer
