Abstract The objective is to implement coalescence criteria into the finite elements software to predict the ductile fracture formaterials obeying Gurson{u2019}s model. The coupling of the coalescence criteria is achieved by linking the finite element software to user developed subroutines on the compiling level via Intel Visual Fortran. These subroutines which are running in parallel to the finite element software, perform coalescence checks among other intermediate calculations at every material point for every time increment. The finite element software with the coupled subroutines is also validated by predicting the forming limit diagram at fracture. The predicted forming limit strains at fracture are compared with analytical predictions and experimental results |
