Abstract
Our study is one of first studies targeting at analysis of the use of pedicle screws in pelvic ring fractures in details. In our thesis we discussed anatomy, biomechanics, classification, clinical picture, radiographic diagnosis and a new method of fixing pelvic ring fractures using pedicle screws and rods and different treatment method as well as complications during the literature review. The practical part of our study was conducted to assess management and functional outcome of thirty eight patients treated with operative pedicle screws in fixation of anterior or posterior pelvic ring fractures or combined injury
