Abstract The main aim of the research here is to investigate the control systems for electromechanical actuators used in automotive applications. Requirements in automotive applications are very high regarding efficiency, robustness, durability, and cost. To optimize the control system, all elements of the structure are separately analyzed and optimized. It starts with the whole control structure of the system then its element. A cascaded field oriented controller is introduced as a control structure. The first analyzed element of the controller structure is the commutation, then a predictive current controller for the inner loop of this cascaded controller is introduced to improve the performance |
