Abstract This thesis is concerned with the development of simple and accurate methods for the analysis of some skeletal muscle relaxants, include chlorzoxazone, cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride, methocarbamol, orphenadrine citrate and tizanidine hydrochloride. Four HPLC methods using spectrophotometric detector for the simultaneous determination of methocarbamol and aspirin in presence of their degradation products in mixture, the simultaneous determination of cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride in the presence of its degradation product in mixture, the simultaneous determination of tizanidine hydrochloride and mefenamic acid in dosage form in mixtureand simultaneous determination of Orphenadrine citrate and paracetamol in presence of orphenadrine degradation product in mixture.Application of Chemometric methods for the determination of cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride in the presence of its degradation product in mixture, Simultaneous determination of orphenadine citrate and paracetamol in presence of orphenadrine degradation productin mixtureand simultaneous determination of Chlorzoxazone and Ibuprofen / Ketoprofen in the presence of Chlorzoxazone degradation product in two ternary mixtures using PCR and PLS chemometric methods. Application of Artificial Neural Network technique for the simultaneous determination of Orphenadrine citrate and paracetamol in presence of orphenadrine degradation product in mixture. The proposed methods were validated and statistically compared with reference methods where no significant difference was found |
