Abstract Primary bone cancers are extremely rare neoplasms accounting for less than 0.2% of all cancers. This is a retrospective study, including 101 cases with bone sarcoma who presented to Kasr Alainy center of radiation oncology and nuclear medicine (NEMROCK) during the period from January 2005 to January 2016. Epidemiological features, clinical features, pathological characteristics and effect of different modalities of treatment on survival were assessed. It was found that in osteosarcoma patients, the factors that improved 5 year survival were, necrosis >90% (p=0.041) on DFS, age <18 on OS (P=.036), and DFS (p=039), absence of metastasis on presentation on OS (p=0.023) and PFS (p=0.019). In Ewing{u2019}s Sarcoma the only statistically significant factors on survival were the LDH level on OS (p=0.032) and metastatic disease at presentation on PFS (p=0.048). In Chondrosarcoma no statistically significant factors on survival could be found |
