Abstract

Renewable distributed generation (DG) feeds a remote area in Egypt which is a real green building in mersa matruh city, represents a comparative study between different configurations of renewable DG systems, aims to finding the system configuration which meets the desired system reliability requirement with minimum total cost over the life time of the system. Possibility of connection with grid is available HOMER program is developed to achieve the optimal design. Determining the capacity of solar, wind and battery as an optimization problem. To evaluate the system reliability level, loss of power supply probability (LPSP) has been used as an index. To Security and reliability purpose, diesel generator is added to the optimal DG system
