Abstract The thesis is aimed to develop a general methodology that could be used to investigate the feasibility of developing a geothermal power plant in Egypt by implementing a case study to investigate how the geothermal potential in Egypt can be converted into electricity by selecting the most feasible and economical solution. The modeling of the geothermal power plant is performed by identifying and comparing different thermodynamic configurations based on information describing the field. Thermodynamic performance, economic evaluation is conducted for organic Rankine cycles and Kalina cycle for finding the best solution |
