Abstract

Neonatal septicemia is the most important cause of morbidity and mortality among neonates worldwide. A wide variety of bacteria both aerobic and anaerobic can cause neonatal sepsis .
Recently Pantoeaspp is considered one of the pathogens responsible for neonatal sepsis. Prematurity and the associated relative immunocompromised state are major risk factors for hospital-acquired infections due to Pantoea in newborn infants.
In our study ,Fifty blood samples of neonate with septicemia, fifty samples of parental solutions(PN ) and fifty samples of powdered infant formula (PIF) had been collected in the neonate intensive care unit in Pediatric Hospital of Assuit University. Note that PN and PIF was previously opend and consumed in NICU.
