المستخلص The current study aimed to provide a preventive program for reduce psychological Burnout and modify negative thoughts among mothers of children with intellectual disabilities. The main study sample was composed of (50) mothers of children with intellectual disabilities, and they were divided into two groups: an experimental group composed of (25) mothers of children with intellectual disabilities. and a control group consisting of (25) children with intellectual disabilities. The study tools included (the psychological Burnout scale, the negative thoughts scale, the program to reduce psychological Burnout and modify negative thoughts), and the scales were administer three times previously to the experimental and control groups, then the program was administer to the experimental group only,second scales were administer in the post test, then in follow up test to the experimental groups, and the results were as follows : Summary of the study results: 1- There are statistically significant differences in the mean scores of mothers of children with intellectual disabilities on all dimensions of the psychological Burnout scale between the experimental and control groups in the post application in the direction of a decrease in the mean scores of the experimental group members.. 2- There are statistically significant differences in the mean scores of mothers of children with intellectual disabilities in the experimental group on all dimensions of the psychological Burnout scale between the two tests, the pre and post test, in the direction of decreasing the average scores of the post test. 3- There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of mothers of children with intellectual disabilities in the experimental group on all dimensions of the psychological Burnout scale between the post and sequent test. 4- There are statistically significant differences in the mean scores of mothers of children with intellectual disabilities on all dimensions of the negative thoughts scale between the experimental and control groups in the post test in the direction of a decrease in the mean scores of the experimental group members. 5- There are statistically significant differences in the mean scores of mothers of children with intellectual disabilities in the experimental group on all dimensions of the negative thoughts scale between the two tests, the pre and post test in the direction of a decrease in the average scores of the post test 6- There are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of mothers of children with intellectual disabilities in the experimental group on all dimensions of the negative thoughts scale between the post and follow up test. |
