Abstract Colorants include chromophores of dyes such as C=C, N=N, C=N, aromatic and heterocyclic rings, containing oxygen, nitrogen or sulfur, are widely used as dyes owing to their versatility in various fields and high technologies, including textiles, paper, leather, plastics, biological staining, lasers, liquid crystalline displays and ink-jet printers and applied for food, drug, cosmetic and photochemical productions [1-4].The main synthetic dye classes include azo, anthraquinone and triarylmethane dyes which constitute more than half of the dyes used in industrial applications. Azo dyes possess chromophoric groups and conjugated system so these are colored compounds and can be used in the food and textile industries. The weak Vander Waal’s among the delocalized π bonds through the conjugated system indicates semiconducting properties of some organic materials [5]. |
