Abstract Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has been an effective and widely used treatment for patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). The presence of anemia in critically ill patients and in patients undergoing surgical procedures has been associated with worse clinical outcomes. Similar results have been described in patients with heart failure and in the setting of acute myocardial infarction. |
