Abstract The researcher discusses in this thesis “The Influence of Egyptian Art on the Representation of Ptolemaic kings and Queens” The thesis consists of four parts: Part I: entitled “The Representation of Pharaonic Kings and Queens during the Late Period from the 26th to the 30th Dynasty”. This part is divided into two chapters; the first one comprises the royal sculptures in the round and the other one contains the royal architectural sculptures either on the temples-walls or the stelae. Part II: entitled “The Representation of Ptolemaic Kings and Queens in Sculpture in the Round”. This part is divided into two chapters; the first one is concerned with the portraits of male Ptolemaic rulers and the other one is regards to the images of female Ptolemaic queens. Part III: entitled “The Representation of Ptolemaic Kings and Queens in Architectural Sculptures”. This part is divided into two chapters; the first one comprises the royal scenes on the temple-walls and the other one has architectural sculptures on the tablets. Part IV: entitled” The Tourist Institution for The Influence of the Egyptian Art on the Representation of Ptolemaic Kings and Queens”, it comprises the importance of the study in the field of tourism and tourist guidance, then the bibliography and the illustrations. |
