Study Title: ”Counseling program to Develop the awareness of girls in marriage age about the elements of a successful family and its impact on achieving marital harmony”.
Study Body: Department of Home Economics, Faculty of Quality Education, Assiut University
Study Problem:
The lack of awareness of girls about the elements of successful family life and ignorance of the purposes of marriage make these factors a reason for the increasing rates of family disintegration in a frightening and disturbing way, many of us when marriage fails wonder why it fails, and why the increasing rates of disintegration without thinking about the mechanism of avoiding it and avoiding its occurrence in the first place, which helps the girl to behave properly characterized by maturity in thinking when choosing a life partner and forming her independent family and the foundations of dealing with husband and children and managing affairs Family and proper handling of family crises.
Objectives of the study:
The present study aims to design and implement a mentoring program to develop awareness of the elements of a successful family among girls of marriageable age and its reflection on the awareness of achieving marital harmony.
The results of the study resulted in:
1. There are statistically significant differences between girls of marriageable age the basic study sample in awareness of the elements of a successful family depending on the variables of the study (age of the girl, educational level of the girl, work of the girl, place of residence of the family, educational level of the parents, work of the mother, father’s occupation, family size, average monthly income of the family).
2. There are statistically significant differences between girls of marriageable age the basic study sample in the awareness of virtual maritalharmony depending on the variables of the study (age of the girl, educational level of the girl, work of the girl, place of residence of the family, educational level of the parents, work of the mother, father’s occupation, family size, average monthly income of the family).
3. There is a positive correlation between the the girls of the basic study sample in awareness of the elements of a successful family and theawareness of maritalharmony, the development of awareness of the elements of a successful family contributes to strengthening and increasing awareness of marital compatibility in the future.”
4. There is a correlation between awareness of the elements of a successful family and awareness of marital harmony and study variables among girls of marriageable age in the basic study sample.
5. The most influential variables of the study on the awareness of marital harmonywere (average monthly income, the foundations of choosing a life partner, methods of dealing between spouses, the foundations of family crisis management, the educational level of the girl, the age of the girl, the work of the girl, the educational level of the parents) respectively, where the value of the participation rate R2 (92%, 91%, 89%, 87%, 86%, 84%, 73, 69%) at the level of significance of 0.01.
6. There are statistically significant differences between the average scores of the members of the experimental study sample in the pre- and post-application of the program prepared to develop awareness of the elements of a successful family and its impact on awareness of achieving marital harmony in favor of the dimensional application.
7. The magnitude of the impact of the proposed program on awareness of the elements of a successful family is large, where the value of (d) (11.45) and the size of the impact of the proposed program on awareness of marital compatibility is large, where the value of (d) (11.33), which shows its high effectiveness in developing awareness of the elements of a successful family and its impact in predicting the achievement of marital harmony.
