Abstract

The present study aimed to demonstrate the correlation between ductus venosus and fetal abnormalities; the relation between ductus venosus and nuchal translucency. Out of 200 patients there were 50 cases withdrawn from the study, they either continued in other centers or excluded from the study because of unknown outcomes, so only 150 parturient women were recruited and divided into 2 groups; high risk group scanned for congenital anomalies which are 50 patients and low risk group (100 patients), who were scanned at Fetal Medicine Unit, Cairo University between October 2013 and October 2015. Results of the present study cleared that the maternal age ranged from 19-48 years with Mean ± SD 31.9 + 6.45. The current study shows that 23.3 % of the population (n=35) has risk factors, while 76.67 % (N=115) were risk-free. Data of the current study show that Nuchal translucency ranged from 1.0 {u2013} 1.9 mm in 90% of the study population, from 2.0 {u2013} 2.9 mm in 6%, 3.0 {u2013} 5.9 mm in 4%
